The captains have voted / spoken and the playoff format has changed slightly to go with “Dan’s Awesome Superior Pairings.”

Let’s keep in mind the rational of of the double-quarter system:

1. gives all teams access (even if unlikely) to all brackets
2. allows every team to play both quarters weeks in a meaningful game
(meaningful in that the outcome potentially matters for bracket access)
3. better regular season performance is rewarded by scheduling weaker
opponents.

With that said here is how it will shake out in the quarters:

Dan’s Awesome Superior Pairings:
Seed 1:  Plays 9&10 (Avg 9.5)
Seed 2:  Plays 8&10 (Avg 9.0)
Seed 3:  Plays 7&9  (Avg 8.0)
Seed 4:  Plays 6&8  (Avg 7.0)
Seed 5:  Plays 6&7  (Avg 6.5)
Seed 6:  Plays 4&5  (Avg 4.5)
Seed 7:  Plays 3&5  (Avg 4.0)
Seed 8:  Plays 2&4  (Avg 3.0)
Seed 9:  Plays 1&3  (Avg 2.0)
Seed 10: Plays 1&2  (Avg 1.5)
