There was no play on Friday, November 27. Only Godfather, Zen, and Dr. D. were there.
On this day in history, a ton of really bad things happened. For instance, slaves were murdered for the sake of insurance fraud, white people were massacred by indians, indians were massacred by white people, and somebody got a patent for traffic lights. Yeah, I know. Traffic lights are the worst.
Today was a fine day of field-disc as the 1s and 2s showed up at Citizens to do battle on the field of honor. Standard: It was a cool day- maybe high 60s at first pull on a bright, sunny day. We had an east-west set with a slight wind and a blinding sun. We had two games of 6/11, and all was well in the world.
Team 1: Pilgrim, Dred, Diesel, Godfather, Puller and Dr. D
Team 2: Johnny, Amsterdam, Robber, Showkiller, Dmachine, Josh, and Wheels
Game One: The final score on this one is a bit misleading. The 1s began the game on fire, and rocketed to a 7-1 lead. The 2s were dazed and shellshocked, but then rallied and went on a 5-2 run to close the wound. But clearly, being down by that much was just too much, and so they lost. Final: 11-7, Team 1.
Game Two: This was a nice little game that was much better than the first, even though the score wasn't all that much different. The 1s scored first blood and held a narrow all the way through the 17th point. The 1s then scored, got a break, and scored again. Final: 11-8, Team 1.
LoSG: No.
Points: 22-15 (fairly lopsided)
Schedule: Wednesday 7pm, Friday 6pm, and Sunday at 330pm at Citizens.
