On this day in 1192, Richard the Lionhearted was captured by some guy as he returned home from Jerusalem, which honestly, doesn’t even remotely interest me. As a point of coincidence though, I watched the movie “Second Hand Lions,” which is a meandering, but great story. And, if you don’t get choked up watching it, then you sir, have no soul. None!
Today was a fine day of field-disc as the 1s and 2s did battle in the waning light of Citizens. Standard: it was cool, with an east-west set, and one game of 6/11. It was probably in the upper 60s at first pull.
Team 1: Godfather, Showkiller, Dr. D, Dred, Kink and Robber
Team 2: Wheels, Puller, Josh, Zen, Amsterdam, and Obama!
The Game: This game went all day long and wasn’t decided until universe. The 2s jumped to an early lead, but the 1s battled back to win ties at the 8th, 10th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, and 24th points. Late though, the 1s got the lead, the 2s forced universe, but couldn’t get a stop. Final: 13-12, Team 1.
LoSG: By definition, no, but it was close.
Points: 13-12
Schedule: Game Wednesday, None Friday, Game Sunday
